The National Security Agency (NSA) has been hacking into the mobile phone of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Apparently, they have been spying on the German government since 2002 and systematically surveilled top ranking politicians around the world.
Do they have the right to do that? They certainly do and they have taken advantage of the lenient policies of the European Union in terms of behaviour towards our American friends. What is right and wrong is always a matter of interpretation and obviously Merkel as the new ‘Iron Lady’ of Europe has been shown to her limits.
What do you think? Should we spy on our politicians?
