Charity Events Calendar – March 2011

3rd March – THE BARNARDOS’ FOOTBALL QUIZ – Gibson Hall, London
This quiz is now in its 12th year and will once again be a great night out allowing teams from companies all over London to test their footballing knowledge against celebrities and sporting personalities. In aid of Barnardo’s. Price includes a hot supper. There is also a pay bar should you wish to participate in a little tipple.

4th March – THE WHITE ROSE BALL – Queens Hotel, Leeds City Square, Leeds, Yorkshire
The evening is set to be the highlight of the West Yorkshire. Price: £60; £550 for table of 10. In aid of NSPCC.

6th March – ADIDAS SILVERSTONE HALF MARATHON – Silverstone Race Circuit
The event is staged at the home of British Motor Racing with its world famous track. Whether you are attempting your first half marathon, are a veteran at this distance or using this event as a training run for the Virgin London Marathon, this race is fantastic for you. In aid of numerous charities.

6th March – BRIGHTON HALF MARATHON – Brighton
One of the longest established road races in the UK, this is ideal for the first-time half marathon runners as well as those looking for a PB. Its reputation is quite something! In aid of numerous charities.

6th March – BATH HALF MARATHON – Bath
This half marathon is a fast and flat, traffic free course straddling both sides of the River Avon. In aid of numerous charities.

6th March – RACE TO THE TOP! – 30 St Mary Axe, aka ‘The Gherkin”, London
Join hundreds of fellow runners to race to the top of London’s most iconic building for NSPCC’s Child’s Voice Appeal.

9th March – HOUSE OF LORDS AND HOUSE OF COMMONS, PARLIAMENTARY PALACE OF VARIETIES – The Park Lane Hotel, Piccadilly, London
Lords and MP’s entertain with a range of talents at this unique dinner show. In aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

10th March – OIL & GAS QUIZ – Marriott Grosvenor Square, London
A fabulous industry quiz in its 13th year that sees teams in Aberdeen and London pit their wits against each other for the Oil & Gas Trophy. The quiz takes place around a three-course dinner with wine. 350 guests anticipated. In aid of Spinal Injuries Association. Dress: Black Tie.

18th March – THE AMBER BALL – The Savoy, London
The evening includes a champagne reception, a three-course dinner with wines and dancing to a live band with fundraising activities throughout the evening, offering raffle prizes and live and silent auctions. Don’t miss it! Price: £155; table of 10, £1,400. In aid of Brain Tumour Research Campaign.

20th March – READING HALF MARATHON – Reading
With its finish in the impressive Madejski Stadium, home of Reading FC, this superb half marathon is the fastest course in the UK and will see 17,000 runners taking to the streets. In aid of numerous charities.

24th March – ANNUAL CELEBRITY SPORTS QUIZ & SUPPER – Holiday Inn, Kings Cross Road, London
Really good fun and an excellent buffet supper. Prizes to be won!! In aid of The Celebrities Guild of Great Britain. Price: £40.

24th March – LONDON BRAIN GAME – Plaisterers Hall, London
Join us for this highly entertaining Black Tie evening in the magnificent surroundings of Plaisterers Hall in the heart of the City. The evening commences with a champagne reception followed by a three-course dinner and a fully interactive, celebrity-hosted quiz. This enjoyable evening offers an ideal opportunity for staff entertainment and client hospitality whilst supporting the wonderful work of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

27th March – MARSDEN MARCH – Fulham Road, London
The Marsden March is a unique 13 mile walk from the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea to The Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton. There will be a shorter route for those wishing to walk the last few miles only. The registration fee is £10.

27th March THE SCREEN NATION AWARDS – Lancaster London
Screen Nation Awards celebrate diversity on the British Screen. Expect huge stars, big laughs, much to move and inform you and great musical performances! In aid of The Adolescent & Children Trust Charity.
